NEWARK
METAMETRICS
What are the
forces that shape our urban surroundings? Newark Metametrics examines the
intimacies of the city: the neighborhoods and objects that recall the individuals
who make a place and are shaped by it. The installation at the Newark Museum
includes their collages and constructions, a video installation and a full
scale ceramic monument to Newark's Roseville neighborhood. Come see the
Hidden City.
Newark Metametrics
is a collaborative studio of artists and architects exploring the role
of architecture and planning in defining the nature of the modern city.
Contributors to Synthesizing the City include Tom Bish, Hal Laessig, Silvano
Sole, Yoland Skeete and student interns Dueane Wizzard, Cindy Kwok and
Myra Riddick.
